Ingredients
- lemons — 3 pcs
- sugar — 125 g
Steps
- Squeeze the lemons.
- Put in a pot the sugar, 175 g of lemon juice and pulp, and 300 ml of water.
- Boil for 10 minutes.
- Add 700 ml of water and stir.
- Wait for the solution to cool down to room temperature.
- Pour it in a container that can be frozen.
- Put it in the freezer.
- Now, for the most boring part: you must prevent the separation of the ingredients due to the freezing process, and the formation of one huge ice block.
- stir even if you don't see any ice yet: there may already be small crystals
- if you find any ice block, make sure to break them down
- don't worry if the ice melts when you stir: the water stays cold and will freeze again fast enough
- Depending on the temperature, the whole thing may take much time to freeze: it's not unusual for it to require up to 20 hours.
- If you don't consume all granita at once, it may freeze to a block.
