Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into pieces — 1360 g
- Garlic salt — 8 ml
- Ground black pepper — 15 ml
- Cornstarch — 60 ml
- Vegetable oil (for frying) — 30 ml
- Honey — 120 ml
- Soy sauce — 60 ml
- Ginger paste — 15 ml
- Minced garlic — 30 ml
- Sesame seeds
- Green onion, sliced
Steps
- Place the cut chicken in a large bowl, add garlic salt, ground black pepper, and cornstarch; toss thoroughly so each piece is coated (optionally add a little more starch for extra crispiness).
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat; fry the chicken in batches, without overcrowding, until golden brown on both sides, then transfer to a plate.
- Return all the fried chicken to the skillet over medium-high heat; pour in the honey and soy sauce, add the ginger paste and minced garlic, and stir to coat the chicken with the sauce.
- Simmer over medium heat for a few minutes, stirring, until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky, evenly coating the chicken.
- Serve the chicken sprinkled with sesame seeds and sliced green onion; serve over prepared rice.
White Rice
- White rice
- Cook the rice according to package instructions until tender; serve as a base for the chicken.
